Ready to pay attention to yourself in a different way?

Perhaps you've spent years looking after others, keeping the peace or doing what was expected of you. You've adapted and got on with life, but somewhere along the way, you may have lost touch with parts of yourself. You might be struggling with anxiety, relationships or feelings you can't quite make sense of. Perhaps you keep finding yourself in familiar patterns, or you're beginning to question what you want from life.

About me and my practice

My role is to create a trusting, trauma-informed relationship where you can be yourself, feel your emotions fully, and explore parts of you that may have felt hidden or unacceptable.

My approach is person-centred. Rather than making assumptions or telling you how you should live, I'm interested in understanding your experience.

Together, we can explore the patterns you've fallen into and the expectations you've carried. Perhaps you put others first, struggle to say no, are hard on yourself or feel responsible for other people's feelings. We can begin to understand where these patterns come from and whether they're helpful to you now.

I also draw on Internal Family Systems (IFS) and somatic approaches, exploring the different parts of you that may want different things, alongside the feelings and sensations that arise in your body. With curiosity and compassion, we can begin to understand these experiences and what you might need.

I'm particularly interested in the questions that emerge during periods of change, including midlife, motherhood and other life transitions.

Working together, you may begin to recognise familiar patterns, understand yourself with less judgement and feel more able to respond to your own needs.

You don't have to be at breaking point to seek support, or know what comes next. Please get in touch with me if you'd like to arrange an initial session.

Experience

I have experience in helping individuals with relationship issues, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, self-esteem, and confidence. I work with couples facing destructive behaviours and patterns. Women in mid-life struggling with identity issues also form a core of my work.

Before becoming a therapist in private practice, I worked for two years at a domestic abuse charity. I have experience as an online and telephone counsellor at ChildLine, NSPCC. I have also worked within a primary school setting for two years.
